Orcas Island 2012-The ferry

 

On Thursday my family and I went to Orcas Island-in the San Juans. We go there every year so it was no big-y but to our cousins from Illinois it was a miracle. The trip started by waking up at 6:10 only to jump in the car at 7:00 and stay there for the next 5 hours…

After a quick lunch at Seed’s we drove to Anacortes ferry landing were we played at the dock for what seemed like forever (you can only skip stones for so long)!

 Finally the ferry came and we began to board… Oh it was such a relief that we made it! Our ferry’s name was Hyak and the engineering of it was intriguing to the Kimballs’ (our cousins).
